British teenager 'raped in hotel by six French tourists' while holidaying in Magaluf

A British teenage girl was raped in whilst holidaying in Magaluf, with six French tourists being arrested for the attack.
A team of Civil Guard specialists are investigating the sex attack, where the young woman was allegedly raped inside her hotel room.
The unnamed woman met a group of French people and then they all went to a hotel, La Hora newspaper reports.
Local media reported that the men are accused of filming the attack on the 18-year-old on their phones.
The woman met the six men whilst out in Magaluf, it has been claimed
PAA spokesperson for the force said: “I can confirm we are investigating an alleged gang-rape at a hotel in Magaluf.
"We were alerted by the hotel in the early hours of Monday morning after the alleged victim raised the alarm. One set of officers took her to hospital so she could be examined by a doctor and another team of officers set about trying to locate the alleged aggressors.
"They were arrested over the following hours. The investigation is ongoing and involves a team of officers specialising in probing alleged sex crimes in Magaluf. Five of the men arrested are French and the sixth suspect is a Swiss national. They are all in their twenties."
The woman later managed to get away from the men who attacked her and cried out for help.
Security guards quickly called police and the suspects were identified.
A medical examiner at the hospital found grip marks on the British teenager’s arms.
The six suspects have been remanded in custody after appearing in court in Palma yesterday.
An insider said “All six men have been remanded in custody by a judge.
“They are currently in prison in Majorca and will remain there for the foreseeable future pending any successful attempts by a defence lawyer to secure their release on bail. The decision to remand them in custody would not have been taken lightly.

“It doesn’t prove the men did what the alleged victim is claiming they did but it indicates officials have good reason to believe a sexual assault has taken place. The woman who alleges she was gang-raped ratified what she told the police in a court statement.”
As part of their examination, investigators studied CCTV footage leading up to the attack.
They also carried out an inspection of the hotel, which has not been named in order to safeguard the victim’s identify.
The criminal investigation is ongoing and is expected to last for at least several months.
